Russell Ira Crowe was born on April 7, 1964 in Wellington, New Zealand. He is an actor, film producer, and a musician. Crowe mostly lives in Australia. Russell came to international attention playing Maximus Decimus Meridius, the Roman general, in the 2000 film, "Gladiator." His parents are John Alexander Crowe and Jocelyn Yvonne (nee Wemyss). He played Inspector Javert in the 2012 film, "Les Miserables." His first film was "Prisoners of the Sun." In 2003, he married Danielle Spencer, and they are still together. Spencer and Crowe got married on April 7th of 2003, Russell's thirty-ninth birthday. Crowe is alive and currently 49 years old.
