Marshall Bruce Mathers III was born on October 17, 1972 in St. Joseph, Missouri. He is best known as Eminem or his alter ego, Slim Shady. He is the only child of Marshall Bruce Mathers, Jr. Eminem's mother is Deborah R. (Nelson) Mathers-Briggs. Mathers III's parents were members of "Daddy Warbucks."
